Elliot Spitzer, are the Rats Leaving the Ship
Are the junior attorneys in the Attorney General's office leaving the ship yet? Are the New York State Attorney General Office's up and coming prosecutors and lawyers jumping ship as to not be caught in the future demise of Elliot Spitzer fall from reputation? We will see as Elliot Spitzer starts to lose all his cases that the attorneys in his office wish to distance themselves from the New York Attorney General's office. It is common knowledge that rats and rodents often leave the ship prior to it sinking. They seem to have sixth sense for this. We will soon begin seeing the exodus of attorneys into the private sector. Many of these attorneys had been riding on Elliot Spitzer's stardom as he stole headlines day after day in order to build up his brand name. Elliot's eventual goal is to convert this publicity into a successful run for governor of New York. It is obvious now this will not come to be as his cases are turning out to be completely without merit and not even of the actual law. As a matter of fact the real fraud is not with those accused but rather in the actual complaint filed by his office? This is typical of today's petty prosecutors. Little rug rats running around filing paper work in courts, which is nothing more than false accusations and abuse of power grabs under the auspice of protecting the consumer and investor. Think on this; I can see the rats running away now. You know what? It is about time. High Speed Trains and The Future of Transportation Where are all the high-speed trains we were promised? Where is a cohesive transportation strategy? With the current price of fuel we need better and efficient systems to move people; these gasoline prices are for the birds or Camels? For years they have been discussing High Speed Trains, between Los Angeles and Las Vegas and from Houston to San Antonio to El Paso, Houston to Dallas, Dallas to Austin to San Antonio, Dallas to Amarillo, Amarillo to Denver, Denver to Kansas City to Wichita to Oklahoma City to Dallas. Montana needs a high-speed rail and North, South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska could all benefit from a high-speed rail system. How Senator Sarbaines and Oxley Destroyed America You have probably heard of the Sarbaines Oxley Law (SOX) on corporate governance to make corporations totally transparent. And the voters and investors wanted this law so they could know which companies to invest in so they could make 20% per year on their money, which they damn well feel entitled to. US Army in Catch 22 on Gays Issue Many of those who wish to fight for our country come from families with strong ideals of freedom. Most of them are strong Christians in fact. World Power Brokers Readying for WWIII Einstein when ask how did he believe WWIII would be fought said that he didn't know, but replied; "WWIV will be fought with sticks and stones!" A scary notion indeed; bet we all hope he is wrong about that. Yet as we look at the World today and the differences, which separate our world and divide us as one unique species on the surface of this pale blue dot, one has to see the logic of Einstein's prediction. Mental Masturbation of FTC Franchise Rule Report Please read through this quick thought and discussion as if a conversation where one party has been taken out and we are left with a monologue as the other debater is missing. Assume that debater is the compilation of arguments presented and only existing in the 432 page, 10-year late report of the Federal Trade Commission' Franchise Rule, for it does not exist in reality or in any way lend itself to any sort of modern day economic theory of free markets, free men, the rights of men and created corporate entities to free contract. US Government Sore Losers in Not So Neighborly Dispute I'm getting a little tired of being lectured by that "pin-headed, pencil-necked" whiner David Wilkins, about what Canada should do and not do with respect to the failed softwood lumber talks.Wilkins, the US Ambassador to Canada, said today that Canadian politicians should stop their ''emotional tirades'' and order the country's trade representatives back to the bargaining table to reach a final settlement. Maryland Lawyers and Politicians Want More Regulations We know that in Maryland, which some call "Merry Land" due to its completely liberal skew that Sarbaines Oxley laws were born. These laws no matter what anyone will tell you, have done more to upset our trade deficits with China than any other single factor. End Of History? Not Quite A visitor to Moscow would be immediately struck by the fact that an otherwise dull Kremlin now seduces one to break the sound barrier in a mike, rediscover one self on a Compaq or simply feel Warner in a Pringles. If this is not enough then there is always Chairman Mao in Tiananmen Square calling upon workers and peasants to not only carry forward the revolution but also gulp down a Sprite, while they are at it. The Lemon Dance: Why Government Doesn't Work Former Senator, Daniel Moynihan, accurately summed up the situation when he posited that,"[t]he single most exciting thing you encounter in government is competence, because! it's so rare." Military Intelligence, FBI, CIA Intelligence Problems Well many have complained that the FBI and CIA dropped the ball in the 9-11 attacks. Cloning; The Possibilities and Advantages of Thought Swapping We can all see the issues involved in the cloning debate, which go much deeper than religion; the real debate has to do with evolutions process of a self-replicating organic machine, human beings, and the future of science and the species. There will be power shifts in economic status amongst ruling elite, political families, etc along with issues of entanglement, connected brains and communication abilities in the future. A Component of Liberty is a Strong Social Contract with Governing Body Recently I got to talking with a gentleman at a coffee shop who was concerned with changes due to the Patriots Act I and II and being a studier of historical record he began to explain to me the significance of these events and what it meant for Americans and what it said about our Constitution and Leadership. So, then here is a summary of thoughts preceding this conversation and an open ended debate for those who dare to question authority or those who find themselves thinking conspiracy theory thoughts while watching events unfold in our mass media. Why the United States just doesnt get the United Nations For years I have been amazed as I've listened to people here in the United States demonstrate their complete ignorance of the purpose and tremendous value of the United Nations, even to the point of our country not paying dues to the organization. Ambassador to the United Nations has often been viewed as a second-class or B-level diplomatic job and with the current Presidential perspective, the UN has become a troublesome entity and the appointment of an Ambassador a hassle. Entrepreneur Lashes Out at Linear Thinking Government Regulators I am personally calling for a total disbanding of the regulatory agencies as we know it immediately.
